Merry Christmas Everyone!

Christmas is upon us once more, after a lovely concert on the 21st we hope everyone that joined us was put in just the right mood to have a fantastic Christmas. The concert was William Waine's first as Musical Director and was a great success. Rev David Wright introduced the evening and commented on how much he enjoyed the format of carols mixed with poignant and humerous readings. The reminders of Christmas 1914 combined with the gospel according to St Luke, (a brilliant performance of) a Christmas Carol, Shirley Valentine and a politically correct Father Christmas had everyone listening intently. The community carols elicited some fine singing from the audience (you know who you were, and feel free to contact us about joining). There were some great performances, soloist James Geidt was excellent and we hope we will see him again. Lucy Cook made a perfect page boy to Good King Wenceslas and the voices of the 12 days all made a good impression when they managed to stop giggling. The light hearted mood was rounded off perfectly with William Waine's own arrangement of Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.

We wish you all your own Merry Little Christmas and a very happy and prosperous new year. We hope to see you all again in March for Magical Mozart.
