New year, new music, new faces

It was nice to see everyone again on Monday, and especially nice to see two new sopranos. The sopranos were sounding really good. The basses were too (they usually do), but it turns out that most of them have sung this term's music before. Of course most people have sung Handel's Messiah at one time or another, but it's surprising how much of it seems totally unfamiliar when you come to sing it again.

    And yesterday we welcomed a new alto as well. Just in time too, because we second altos were starting to get a bit thin on the ground.
